THE NEED

The Chuvash Republic along with the neighboring Mari El Republic report the hightest suicide rates in the world. While the Chuvash Republic has made great strides in growth in the past 20 years, much of the Republic suffers from a shattered economy, staggering rates of alcoholism, joblessness, and little hope. Only the gospel can offer a solution to so dire a set of circumstances. Our goal is see the complete evangelization of the Chuvash Republic.The establishment of orphanages, rehab centers, & economic development groups across the republic.   This will involve the establishment of 10 vibrant, self-sufficient churches committed to the evangelization and revitalization of their respective regions.  Two of these churches are in place, with additional churches being planted through 2015.

The Plan

GSMRI will focus on the evangelism of the Chuvash peoples through 2015.  We will incorporate a multifaceted strategy of evangelization as follows:

• Lead Short Term Church Planting/Church Strengthening.

• Facilitate the networking of the Chuvash Churches with Sister Churches in the United States.

• Coordinate leadership training conferences with teams of Apostolic ministry to expedite the preparation of 5 Fold candidates for future church planting.

• Work with Kingdom minded businesses to encourage micro industries throughout the republic; create jobs, stimulate the local economies.

• Maintain an on-the-ground presence inside of Russia for a minimum of 9 months out of the year through 2015 in one-on-one discipleship with the churches and their respective planting teams.

Participation

Adopt a Church -  Partner with a local church in Chuvashia.  Participate in short term mission trips to strengthen the local church and assist in training and evangelism.

Adopt a City -  Join in the church planting process in a target city with no vibrant local work.  Participate in prayer, financial support , and short term trips to actually plant and later strengthen the new church.

Leadership Development - Senior leaders are invited to participate in Leadership Development Conferences to   produce 5-Fold leaders for Kingdom expansion.

The Church Planting Budget:

Basic Sound & AV System:   $2,000

Bibles & Training Materials:  $2,000

Facility Rent (1 Year):          $2,750

Pastoral Team Supt .(1 Yr):  $3,750

Total per Church:              $10,500*

*  The balance of church planting costs will be covered by the existing Russian churches themselves.
